History

Valle Cą Zuliani Societą Agricola Srl has been operating in the field of aquaculture since a long time; the name comes from the homonymous fishing Valley situated in Cą Venier, the lagoon island at the estuary of the river Po and has an extension of nearly 600 ha.
Its historical roots are in the traditional activity of the Venetian coastal lagoon aquaculture, an ancient fishing technique, which exploited the natural mounting of the fries towards those brackish lagoon basins, nowadays called "Valli".
In the past fishing was a source of income and employment of this region, but in recent times,  some factors have changed altering the equilibrium condition that used to reign; furthermore the environment degradation has more and more impoverished the lagoons where the fries used to go upstream in springtime, threatening in this way the Valleys production, for this reason we are forced to reproduce artificially the two most valuable species: sea bass and sea bream. This is how the Valle Cą Zuliani hatchery has grown up in the eighties.
